Wladimir's injury occurred BEFORE he faced Chagaev, that's why he didn't throw any left hooks in the fight (like the one that knocked Rahman down).

Wlad says he had the surgery over a month ago, and he'll be ready to fight in November/December. But, strangely, he's been told there are no HBO dates available for him in the last two months of this year and he wants his fight with Chambers to be on TV in the US. So he has to wait until early 2010.

I think he should fight Chamber in Nov/Dec without HBO. He has money from RTL and elsewhere, he doesn't really need them.

Interesting that Wlad was injured while training for Haye (I presume)...

Also, I don't think Povetkin and Chambers should fight. The next fight should be Wlad v Chambers and Povetkin should fight the winner.

HBO need to buck up their ideas. I know Wlad is not exactly Morales but he is infintely preferable to ABSOLUTE GARBAGE such as Boreson and Bumto. Paying them millions to fight shot 40 year olds and blown up 140lbers.
