I think Gatti's fight against Gomez is an example of a shot fighter. By that stage Gatti had nothing left in him.

He was hurt and caught by punches that in previous fights would not have bothered him.

I guess a lot of people have never had an off day at work or an off day playing sports on the weekend.

Cotto's performance against clottley wasn't his best, but seriously saying he is shot is laughable.

if the internet was around back in the day people would've been saying that Ali was finished after Fraizer, Duran was done after he quit against SRL or KO'd by Hearns, Lennox would never come back after getting KTFO (well the net was around for that one lol), ect......

And I think everybody who knows a lil' boxing can tell Clottey is hard puzzle to figure out...even if you beat him, you won't look good doing it

Thats the one thing I can say that MMA has over Boxing..

there is no protecting records or glorifying undefeated fighters..they ALL fight each other!!

that's because they don't worry about losses.

in mma it's more important that you fight hard and entertain the crowd.

if you win a boring ass fight your value will go down with the ufc big wigs more than if you lose an exciting fight.

in boxing a loss will hurt your future paychecks.

in mma not fighting opponents fans want to see hurts your paycheck more than a loss.

Zab vs Kosta. Who knows if its happen to cotto. He beat a BUM Jennings. In the fight with Clottey he didnt look good, wasn't impressive did nothing to wow the crowd. Oh that Jab that if anyone had boxing knowledge could see Clottey wasnt set on his feet when he got hit. He got right back up. lol. The fight was to close and a lot of people thought he lost. So no Cotto dont look like he use too. And if he looked bad with MArg and Clottey....Imagine how bad he will look with Pacquiao.

i agree with u that he is a changed fighter. But he is far from shot that some people think. I agree that he didn't hurt clottey when he knocked him down but it was a good stiff jab that had good timing because of clottey's feet position. I think it will be a relief for cotto fighting a smaller fighter not saying it will be easy or anything well maybe it will lol. But Alot of questions will be answered nov. 14 lets just say. Is cotto shot? is pac a all time great? Best p4p? that right best p4p.
