Taylor has a good chance if his cardio is up and he sees that his way to victory is to jab, jab and then jab some more. Abraham is very very good but he's also very limited, especially moving up in weight and while I think ultimately Kessler is the worst matchup for him, any of the Americans can conceivably box circles around him while putting themselves at very little risk.

Abraham-Taylor: Jermain Taking No Chances in Camp

Serious but why but why doesn't Taylor lay more emphasise on stamina?
Gaining more strength leads to poorer stamina and we all know about Jermain's biggest weakness.
Abraham won't be impressed if Taylor tries to beat him on his own game which I believe gaining more strength leads to for Taylor.
Jermain wants to gain psychological advantage with a step in this direction but might very well end up totally gutted...
Taylor needs distance/footwork (to work with his lead hand) and counterpunching -> best chance to beat Abraham...

While that was a hard fight Taylor is a different type of fighter.
You asked when he'd been life and death - I don't know what else you could call that fight. He was bleeding profusely out of his mouth, both men were landing bombs, staggering each other at different points, both showing incredible heart.
But you're right about Taylor not being the type of fighter to try to trade with AA.

I'm not totally counting Taylor out of this fight, but he damn sure is not winning the tourney. And I slightly favor Abraham to knock Taylor out anyway. If Abraham does not knock Taylor out, he will still probably get the decision anyway since the fight is in Germany. I know I don't have much room to talk because Chambers just beat that one Russian guy (forget how to pronounce his name) in Germany and Malinaggi got a raw deal with that one judge that had such a wide score against him. But the way the first fight between Abraham and Miranda was handled was a joke. I hope Abraham doesn't get that same treatment in his fight with Jermaine.

Anyway he beat'em with a broken rib easy at 166 so I don't see the problem.
Taylor has been in way more harder fights in his career.
