It has been a BAD year for Universum

My god... I went to their website and watched a video about all of their champions and upcoming prospects.

    Here's how they've been doing:

Ruslan Chagaev - Shutout by Klitschko and stopped.
    Felix Sturm - Left Universum.
Zsolt Erdei - One of the only ones who hasn't had trouble this past year. He hasn't stepped up and fought anyone worth talking about though.
Sergei Dzinziruk - Trying to leave Universum.
Hugo Hernan Garay - Lost recently to Campillo.
Karoly Balzsay - Lost yesterday to Robert Stieglitz.
Andreas Kotelnik - Lost to Amir Khan.
Alexander Alekseev - Lost a while ago to someone... don't remember who.
Dennis Boystov - Another one who didn't have a slip up in the last year.
Jurgen Brahmer - Even though he did himself a lot of good yesterday, he did lost to Garay in the past year.
Alexander Dimitrenko - He got whipped into shap by Eddie Chambers.

They had some females featured on there too, but since I don't follow women's boxing, I don't really know what to say about all of that.

Damn, they better keep milking Erdei to keep themselves in business because unless Boystov is the savior of the heavies there screwed.

Yeah man... I was shocked. I watched it before the Balzsay fiasco, and thought that they were in trouble, but at least from the highlights, Balzsay and Dzinziruk looked the best, and they hadn't lost. Dzinziruk wants out and Balzsay got beaten by an average fighter.

They also promote Sebastian Zbik, the undefeated middleweight who is apparently a mandatory to fight Kelly Pavlik... he actually didn't look very good in his fight against Domenico Spada, so...

Man, Universum really needs something to help them out pretty quick.

Marcos Maidiana is a Universum fighter who's won his last fight. Kotelnik wasn't with Universum until after he fought Maidana.

But yes, they are not doing well. Their fighters are unhappy and some were underpaid and kept inactive. Kohl is often too cheap to have good journeymen fight their up-and-comers, so when they finally step up, they are not prepared for the adversity.

I didn't know Maidana was with them... He falls in the same category as Brahmer. He had a slip up earlier this year against Kotelnik, but he is on top of the world after blowing Victor Ortiz out of the top prospect role in the sport.

I can't believe that I would ever hear of a fighter who left their promotional company because they wouldn't allow him to fight Paul Williams. Haha, most people don't want any part of him, and Dzinziruk really wants him.

I am going to watch Dzinziruk vs. Santos sometime soon, because I do want to see how good this guy is.
