If JMM wins does that make him P4P #1?

If he wins Sept. 19 would JMM have your vote as Boxing's P4P #1?

No, he has to dethrone Pac first.

Done to death. No it wouldn't. Pac would still need to lose.

Yes, and there is absolutely no argument against that IMO.

JMM sits at the #3 spot. Beating #1 easily moves him to #1.

Depends how he does it. If he destroys and KOs Floyd, people will say Floyd was rusty. If it is a close competitive decision or stoppage that Marquez clearly won, then I don't think they can make an excuse for it. Beating Mayweather two weight classes higher than anything you've ever fought at is better then beating Hatton IMO.

It depends on Pacquiao's performance against Cotto.

I don't see why he has to beat Pac a third time.

              That's just dumb.

IMO, yes, without a shadow of a doubt. A win over Floyd is probably the biggest win one can get in the sport now.

Pretty much beat Pac twice already. Beaten the better level of competition as of late. Yes he should be P4P #1, but he wont be.

So even if JMM won the fight Sept 19th it wouldn't matter until how Pac performs 2 months later? What will the P4P general consensus be if JMM wins on the night of Sept 19?
