Vicious fight with possibly the two best chins in history. LaMotta would be his usual self by swarming trying to smother Hagler, who would be at midrange looking to counter. Hard fought bout, but Hagler's better skills prevail in this matchup and he earns a unanimous decision.

imagine if they fought back in the day where u go till u get knocked out
if they could fight till someone gets knocked out
who will get knocked out
Neither of them get knocked out. If the term "iron chin" was meant for any two fighter, these are the perfect two. I've haven't seen either fighter seriously hurt in a fight, and they fought some heavy, heavy ****ers.
If there were no round limit and they fought until someone got knocked out, i suppose i would go with Hagler, since he had finer boxing and defensive skill. However, LaMotta was practically a supermiddleweight while Hagler was a small middleweight, so it could be said Jake was more durable. I can't decide. My imagination does not have the capacity to see either of these men taking a 10 count. That's how good their chins were.
Sorry for another "fantasy" thread, but that's one of the reasons this site is cool. To start, anyone saying Hagler would easily beat Lamotta...just go away cuz it would never have happened. This would have been Haglers toughest fight by far. And, possibly his most humiliating loss. Two pressure fighters that would never say die. Btw, what the hell happened to all the tough Italian fighters ( don't F w/ me Snoops !).....
This would be a war and would be a true test of Hagler's endurance. Aside from his chin, LaMotta had excellent stamina and was a very aggressive fighter. I'd have to favor Marvin due to his superior skill but he would be in for the fight of his life. I have seen Robinson, who hit a lot harder than Hagler and was quicker too, smash LaMotta at will with his best shots and Jake never went down. This one would surely go the distance.
