I try not to be prejudice against boxers who use their legs to avoid heated exchanges and try to outland their opponent. But when you don't end up with a big advantage in punches landed at the end of the fight, you have a weak case for winning against the guy coming forward getting maximum leverage on his punches. Of course Diaz is not a huge puncher either, but the only case you can make for Paulie is his activity. And I think most of his punches were jabs. And Diaz had the better variety of punches like body shots and hooks. The only thing that tainted this competitive fight is that one wide scorecard. Get off this robbery **** people. THIS IS NOT OLYMPIC BOXING!!!!

i never denied the poll results. they are what they are and all i'm trying to do is let you know the results aren't the judges of fights which is what you seem to think. my comment on polls being judges were based on your "the poll says it all" comment so you're either confused about what you're trying to say or you're going back on your word. you think poll results are going to change my mind? sorry to break it to you but that's not the purpose of polls. it did make me watch the fight a third time seeing how a lot of people have the opposite opinion but guess what, i still don't have paulie winning. he tied at best and i was being generous.

Just saw the fight. 7-4-1 Malignaggi, 116-112 is ridiculous, and 118-110 should prevent that judge from ever scoring a fight ever again. I can understand Diaz winning a close fight there were quite a few close rounds but these judges screwed Paulie.

Paulie defitnely gave Diaz something to think about the way he fought that fight was great but the score could have gone either way. Diaz was always the aggresser and landed the harder shots. Most judges score for the guy moving forward and putting on the pressure.

I had it a draw, could have gone either way. The only problem was the scores were so lopsided IMO, I think Diaz winning wasn't a robbery though.

I felt Diaz won because he was way more aggresive but it was waaaayyyyy closer than those scorecards had it! I wouldnt have been mad if Paulie woulda won tho cuz it was that close... I just dont like a fighter that walk back the whole fight

I am not Mexican i am Italian from Brooklyn not to far from where paulie lives and I used to train in the same GYM aa him a few years back. I think Paulie fought a great fight but I also agree with what Kellerman said after the fight. Most judges are going to score for the agreeser and although Paulie had great movment and a great jab i do feel he did NOT land enough power shots nor did he throw enough right hands period. When he tranier called for more lead right hands and told him to move to his right and give him the movement he was asking for Paulie did so but then went back to moving to his left and just throwing the jab. I my mind throwing jabs all fight is NOT going to get you a win in a fighters home town. H eneeded to land some more right hands and maybe mix in that upper cut and hook more often. He looked good when he hrew combos but to me in the fight he did not let them go too often. Diaz was landing his left hook and hitting Paulie to the body and with combo's. Paulie you need to throw more than just jabs.....Lefty

Lefty, if you truly believe Diaz landed multiple combinations that had an effect on Malignaggi you need to rewatch the fight. Paulie blocked most of of what you probably think was effective. Paulie won the fight hands down and Diaz should be nothing more than an opponent in this game moving forward. Unfortunately it will play out in reverse because of the sick decision. Look, I don't even really like Paulie but I call it like I see it.

Diaz landed combinations and I said he hurt Paulie at least one time that I saw the second time I watched the fight. When I say hurt I don't mean he had him hurt to the point where he could have put him away but he defintely buzzed Paulie at least once. If you rewatch the fight you will see where he had Paulie's head swaying from side to side landing left hooks and right hands at least 3 or 4 times. He put pressure on and landed more power blows. Paulie did great at moving but he put on a jab fest for the most part....Lefty
