    Max Kellerman said tonight..

What Max Kellerman said tonight were words of truth. Boxer's who aren't exactly exciting and don't have KO power, who come to box rather than take out their opponent, leave themselves open for these kind of bull**** decisions. They very often leave themselves at the mercy of biased judges. It goes to show that Big Puncher's in the sport of boxing have been more marketable because no one can dispute a KO and guys like Paulie, who don't have KO power but usually tend to go to the scorecards for their victories get shafted. Is it Paulie's fault for not being able to take his guy out and prevent it from going to the judges or is it simply just his style? While I generally dislike Max, he really surprised me with his commentary tonight.

I was pretty pissed off with what he said afterwards tbh. It seemed to me that he was justifying the decision based on how many fans the fighters had. As in Diaz has a big following and is therefore backed by Golden Boy and accordingly gets the decision regardless of the fight.

He is spot on of course but I didnt like the way he was kind of saying it as if its acceptable for this to happen. Surely its possible to just observe each round and score it as you see it regardless of where the boxer is from or where the fight is held etc. The Judge who scored it 118 - 110 needs a good slap imo

It did seem like he was trying to justify a BS decision. Maybe his ass was on the line so he made something up. However, what he said is still true. I might have taken more from what he said than what was intended, but it seems to me that at this age in boxing, K.O. artists and blood 'n guts warriors is what the "market" wants. It is also what boxing needs in order to compete with some of the other rising combat sports. I can only assume that judges nowadays prefer more aggression and less boxing.
