His logic fails. SRL was p4p #1 when he retired. Should he have automatically regained his spot when he returned 4-5 yrs later? Mayweather left the sport and let others take his spot. You can't moan like a ***** because you had a boxing relapse and found that someone surpassed you. It's his own fault that he hasn't done **** in the passed couple years. That would be like if Michael Jordan came back to basketball and demanded that he be #1 over Kobe.

Personally Pacquiao is the number 1 guy for me, Mayweather is unranked until he fights in september and it depends on how he looks for me to rank him in the top 5.

Atlas has a view that a lot of people could take as flawed because Mayweather fought these exact same opponents even though they were fresher at the time than when Mayweather fought them. I do think Pacquiao is no different from Mayweather was right now when it comes to picking and choosing fights. Hell, Arum wanted a Soto-Pacquiao fight after Soto destroyed his brother and Manny weaseled out of that just like Mayweather did with Margarito. I'm just calling a spade a spade. And De La Hoya and Barrera didn't pose half the danger that Soto did even though they were bigger money fights.

Barrera was just there for the paycheck in the rematch and De La Hoya was done before the fight took place as evidenced by his mediocre performance against Forbes, his weight problem, and Roach's own admission that he could not pull the trigger. Manny took those fights when Arum had a date and a fight set up with Soto on two different occasions. And Manny doesn't laterally move around the ring like Guzman or that Canadian guy did that Soto last fought. That fight would've been a war.

that's just the reality now, brah...bigger money fyts.

manny wanted to avenge bobby's lost to soto...but there is a much bigger $$$ fyt plus the chance to become the new superstar.....that actually happened to manny.

disol7[/B];5938711]wow, bold statement, considering how much deeper pac's resume is. mayweather's biggest fight was against hatton at 147. that or castillo at 135. ive been watching a lot of floyd's and mannys past fights and during floyds is usually have to surf the internet or something, not very exciting, terrible for the fans, manny on the other hand, everyone has been great except barrera II , which was because barrera ran most the fight. i know that doesnt really matter but when you factor the quality of opponents and the fact that manny was a flyweight champ, i think there is no question who should have the p4p title. and also... floyd is fighting a guy a lot smaller than him his next fight while manny fights a guy a lot bigger for his. it is a matter of opinion but honestly floyd fans need to give their head a shake and open up their eyes. and i will be the first person to admit floys has all the talent in the world, no heart though, at least so far. lots of quality WW's he could have came back to fight.
