Not even WWE can save the Mayweather-Marquez fight

When was the last time a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight had so much depression, negativity, and desperation? I’ll give you a minute to think about that one.
Do you need another minute? How about 10 more? If it’s taking you that long, then stop thinking because you might hurt yourself. I can’t recall that last time a Mayweather Jr. fight had so little hype and so much potential for a box-office flop.

“Money” Mayweather needs help in a big way. So he calls the WWE to bail him out...

    .................................................. .................................

I’m sure the phone call went something like this:

“Hey Vinny Mac, I need money….My upcoming fight is on life support”… FMJ

“Hey, it’s my favorite boxer… No problem, come on Monday Night RAW and we’ll take care of you”…. VKM

“Vinny Mac, how much money we talking here?” …FMJ

“Junior, enough to offset you’re failed upcoming fight”…VKM

“Vinny Mac, you da man…. Hey, peep dis, I’m gonna act like I care about this fight and hype it some.” …FMJ

“Junior, I do the same thing all the time.”…VKM

    .................................................. .................................

All kidding aside, mark it down on the calendar, because not even the WWE will be able to save this fight and here’s why….

In the following articles I laid out the reasons for how Mayeather’s appearance will affect boxing and the WWE, why he needs to appear, and who will get the better end of this appearance.

In addition to the previous article’s reasons, there’s still one huge factor that will completely derail Mayweather’s fight and not even the WWE can stop it.

The UFC, boxing’s biggest threat, is running a PPV event head to head with the Mayweather fight. Throw in the towel now, because there’s no way a fledgling fight can go head to head with the UFC.

Not even WWE’s huge fan base, brilliant marketing, star power, high cable ratings, and millions of dollars can help the Mayweather fight draw a higher PPV buyrate than the UFC.

Floyd needs to switch his name to “I used to be money” and hope for an injury in his upcoming WWE appearance. That would be the best way to reschedule the fight to when someone will actually care.

There’s no stopping the UFC machine and Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be another speed bump in its way to PPV domination. To throw salt in the wounds, UFC is airing part of the fight card on ****e TV for free.

For the few of you who actually bought tickets to the fight, get a refund now before it’s too late.

    Why do you care?

Don't you have a Manny Pac convention to be at?

The only fights he ever had that had a lot of hype and all that were his big mega fights with Oscar & Hatton.

Sorry, but without a big name to fight Floyd doesn't sell.

Why are so many articles from Examiner posted on here? You do know that most of these people are just no name online free lance writers? Basically no different then people that post on here.

A couple of years ago it would be a great look, but since after Floyd's Wrestlemania appearance, the WWE has tanked in ratings and overall PPV buys. The fans aren't there like they were in the late 90s-early 2000s (not because of Floyd of course).

It ain't a bad look today, but it isn't going to bring an enormous amount of extra PPV buys for Floyd vs Marquez.

The public doesnt care about a Floyd fight like they used to with with DeLahoya its just how it is. Floyd isnt likeable or exciting and I dont think many mainstream fans know who JMM is. And the other thing is I doubt WWE fans would like boxing!
