I see it being pretty difficult for Paulie to win this. Diaz has great pressure, Paulie may be able to move and jab at times but he is going to find himself on the ropes a few times. Against good fighters Paulie has always seemed pretty hittable also, Diaz is going to nail him. It will probably go the distance, neither guy is a puncher (although Diaz has decent power, Paulie has..well yeah nothing) and both have solid chins. I just see Paulie being cut off and forced to engage up close with Diaz, fighting Diaz's fight, too much for him to secure a decision. Diaz is fast of foot, not even a superb mover would be able to avoid him for a full 12 rds.

This, basically. We really won't know until after the fight unfolds. I'm sure there were threads before Pac-DLH similar to this one asking if Pac would get props for a win. You could say hell yea before it but after one realises how bad DLH was. Either weight-drained or showing his age as the excuse, de la Hoya made life far easier for Pac than we envisaged.

Diaz is no hypejob and Campbell definitely didnt ruin him cause he walked all over Katsidis but Marquez very well could have ruined him. So yeah if he does lose to Malignaggi I would say Marquez ruined him cause there would be no other way he would lose to him.

I would chalk it up more to Paulie being right about his situation with McGirt than I would to Juan being "ruined." Juan definitely has to be dealing with some demons, but he is only 25 years old he isnt a ruined fighter yet.

                  Like I said.

The only way you can keep Diaz off you is if he feels your power. Like Marquez managed to do. But Malignaggi doesn't have enough power to intimidate Diaz and keep him away.

But on the other hand, Diaz doesn't look too great. Might not have trained as much as he should. Paulie could be pinning everything on this and using his movement to jab and dodge Diaz.

It's going to be a great fight.
