German lightheavy Jurgen Brahmer won the WBO interim title with an eleventh round stoppage of previously unbeaten stablemate Aleksyi Kuziemski. Kuziemski started the fight well, got off first and pressed the action but late in the second - almost at the bell - Brahmer nailed him with a counter left and Aleksyi suffered a flash knockdown. He was also floored in the third and fifth. But after that Brahmer seemed to wait for the right moment and Kuziemski outworked his opponent in those middle rounds. Brahmer´s trainer, Michael Timm, instructed his fighter to pick up the pace and Brahmer was back in control in the ninth and tenth. In the eleventh Jurgen scored with a right upercut from his southpaw stance and a hard left. Kuziemsi went down again, was up fast looking wobbly and the towel came in from trainer Artur Grigorian at 0.39. The stoppage looked a bit premature but Kuziemski must have been far behind on points.
