3 fights on HBO is a good idea

One of the reasons I am excited for tonight is that we get three competitive fights. Its nice to have cards where you can actually plan on watching a few hours of boxing and not just one fight for the week and then its all over. HBO/SHO should take this route more often even if the opening fight isn't a big name its just makes the night that much better. If its a huge fight say Pavlik V Williams then atleast put one prospect on the card so we can see the future stars and build new stars in the sport. Putting prospects on the tv portion of a card isn't that costly and I think it does the sport well.

Yeah me too!. I'm not overly excited about the Diaz Malignaggi fight but the fact that there is 3 fights I can make a night out of it. All three fights are decent it should be a good card.

I agree with the threadstarter. We're bound to get at least one or two really good fights out of the three.

I remember when Taylor-Spinks was such a stinker, and the Pavlik-Miranda was a great fight. If the main even sucks, a good undercard fight or two can make up for it.
