Roy is generally seen as shot at the highest level and Hop knows it but he's ***** footing around trying to avoid the fight unless he gets more money and why is he taking more risks by fighting Roy? If anything he should be licking his chops at the thought of beating Roy and giving himself bragging right to the fighter of the era claims.

I wouldnt call any fighter a coward, but I will say he might have doubts about beating a (as Hopkins would say) "washed up" "has been" & "shot" ....then he should take that EASY MONEY...

Hopkins chased the fight for years and now he can get his chance at revenge he bitches about getting the 60% split of the purse. If a Roy-Hop PPV happened I'd bet at least half the fans would tune in just to see Roy. Hop has 3 options, fight a young, tough guy (Adamek or Dawson), fight an old Roy, or retire. There really isn't much choice for him at his age he can't wait it out too much longer.

Too bad Roy ruined that chase for a return bout by being embarrassed in the ring like he has these last 5 years. Hopkins has spent all of his forties taking on tough challenges while Roy fools himself in tune ups.

There's nothing in it for Hopkins if he doesn't get the larger purse now. It doesn't move him up any spots on the ATG list in any way beating Roy Jones.. and the first thing out of every ones mouth after beating Roy right now is that Jones is and was SHOT.

Please give me the upside on Hopkins taking a Jones fight without a larger purse incentive.

why would he be afraid? doesn't make sense,he performed better against joe than jones did.B hop has done more for the sport he deserves the bigger split,roy should be happy to share the ring with b hop,hes going crazy he things he beat lazy hes on the top now.
