Cotto is stronger, a natural welterweight, he can take Pacquiao punches easy.
He should bullrush Pacquiao, just like Hatton did. We all know that Cotto has a better chin than Hatton.
Cotto should disrespect Pacquiao - he should not use his boxing skill at all - bull rush him!!!
i don't know about cotto bull rushing pac, mainly because bull rushing is a bit careless. what i think cotto should do, is work behind the jab and apply pressure and smother pacquiao, because manny pacquiao isnt a inside fighter, he usually waits for the ref to break up the clinch, i htink cotto should look to tie up and instead of clinching he should start to work on the inside and wear out the body.
i think pacquiao is too sharp and accurate for someone like cotto who is going to be slower than pacquiao to bull rush in without taking big shots. pacquiao is better on his feet and on the outside now in his career than he's ever been, cotto smoterhing pacquiao is what I see as a more practical approach to fighting pacquiao.
bottom line, if cotto make it an ugly fight and a mauling fight, he has a better chance at beating pacquiao, fighting at a distance and letting it be a bozing match and it being clean and nice, pacquiao will take the fight.
cotto needs to maul, smother, and make it ugly in order to control the fight and get the win.
pacquiao is going to have faster hands than cotto the whole fight long, just like zab even though zab was taking a beating, he still had faster hands and was landing first on cotto, same with clottey, clottey had faster hands for the fight but got out worked.
if cotto boxes i think he's flirting with losing the fight, i think if he takes it to pacquiao and smothers him all fight long, then i think cotto has better than average chance.....Comment

What is this nonsense? Every fighter needs defense...even the the granite chin of Margarito needed it. Any fighter can be knocked out at anytime...its all about landing your punches on the right spots.
