I can't see Dirrell beating Froch.....your thoughts ? ? ?

With a chin made of iron i very much doubt it. Pascal hits 10 times harder than Dirrell and couldn't put Froch down. Taylor got a flash knock down but it was obvious Froch wasn't hurt because he turned to his corner and asked for how many seconds straight away.

not that im saying Direll will KO him, but that chin can only get you so far. i mean look at margrito....he thought the same thing and it eventuly didn't work for him.

and like someone said i don't think direll (or ward for that fact) should be in the tourny....both still green and haven't raised the level of skill yet.

I think Dirrell is soft, he's a runner with a suspect chin. He ran like a scared coward in the Stevens fight and he was dropped and hurt by feather fisted bum Alfonso Rocha (7-4).

Froch is a beast, he KO'd Jermain Taylor and clearly beat WBC light heavyweight champ Jean Pascal.

Excellent point. Hatton as well, he had a very good chin but then got punch drunk.

But then i think of Hopkins, his chin has been granite all his career, so it is possible.

Hopkins never lets his weight fluctaute between fights like Hatton did. Sooner or later that **** will catch you up. Hopkins is a pure professional.

Froch is also a very dedicated athlete like Bernard. His walking weight is about 170-175, but he isn't getting younger, so his SMW days could be over after the tournament. He has a strict diet regime, and a great workout one too.

to be completely honest, froch's chin is highly overrated and isnt as strong as everyone makes it out to be..yes he has a very solid chin but he can easily be stunned. he also has problems with fast handed fighters. dirrell is bigger, faster, and arguably hits harder than taylor considering dirrell has fought at as high as 180 lbs..yes he is still a little green but i dont think that will cause him problems in this fight. dirrell will expose froch's mistakes and defense (or there the lack of) worse than taylor did early on. people keep referring to the stevens fight but that was one of dirrell's worse performances, go look at his fights with hanshaw and oganov. i see froch trying to land one of his lead right uppercuts and getting caught with a straight left hand flush and getting knocked out around the 5th or 6th round.

pascal was not seen as a beast...in fact most of his hype died the moment he got rocked by omar pittman and blatantly ducked miranda..........(i like pascal btw.....)

its only after his last 2 fights that the hype came back

froch is just lucky, he gonna get outclassed if dirrell's chin holds up.....

Froch sucks and will lose. If Dirrell has the slightest bit of boxing skill he can easily beat Froch.
