ATG of this Generation

Jake LaMotta, Larry Holmes ,Pipino Cuevas, Wilfredo Benitez was not the best of their era but still make it in the ATG list(correct me if im wrong).

The **** Cotto ATG

pacman and pbf are ATG's but outside of that there no-one's else in that list.

other modern ATG's include toney, calzaghe, SSM and rjj.

cotto is well onto his way to becoming an ATG, he already has a HOF resume (torres, judah, ssm, clottey) imo he needs one more win out of:
- a win over pbf
- a win over paul williams,
- a rematch and a win over ssm
- or he just needs to dominate the WW division for the coming 3/4 years.

jmm is another fighter who has the potential to become an ATG, again he is astonewall HOF'er with some great wins over, diaz, casamayor, MAB and medina. what counts against against him are his narrow losses to pacman and chris john but the losss to norwood in particular. it was the first time he was stepping up and he didn't quite make it. imo jmm needs one of the following to make it asa ATG:
- a win over pbf
- a win over pacman
- continued dominance of the LW or possibly even the LWW division.

hopkins is another great fighter and a HOF'er, if he conquers the CW division then he becomes an ATG as well. the thing is his vastly inflated sense of his self woprth means that the fight simply won't get made.

vlad is another fighter and i think once he wins against chambers and povetkin people will start to recognie his skills. but for him to be an ATG he needs to either beat vitali, unify with valuev, or continue his current dominance until hes into his 40's.

of the current crop the fighters who i see as potential ATG's are paul williams and mikkel kessler.
