Why did Hopkins wanna anger Trinidad?

I was wondering; was it to make him fight as aggressively as possible so he can make mistakes or was it just to be an *******? I mean, throwing a flag to the ground TWICE isn't really what a fighter normally does to anger another. Toney never did. Only other time I know of that happening was when Kalli Knoetze did it before his fight with John Tate.

hopkins knows how too sell a fight,he likes too be the bad guy
he isnt really exciting in the ring but he definitly makes up for it out of the ring
look at the winky weigh-in and the post fight interview with hopkins and you will see what i mean about selling the fight
(although the flag thing was a bit much)
