So let's get this straight. Paul Williams will fight anybody from 147 to 168 but Hopkins at no more than 165? Gotcha!

        How is that even possible???

        I'm 6'1 and I walk around between 185-200.

        I can't imagine being 150.
Of course it's possible. Some of us are just freaks.

If you train the way athletes or should I say boxers do then you could possibly walk around at 150-155 and be between 6 foot and 6'2. His metabolic rate may be higher than yours. Running 4-6 miles daily hitting the heavy bag training that way and eating right can go along way.

And ya'll want him to jump up 10 more pounds to fight the #3 P4P fighter...

          Paul should stay around 154-160...
Andy Kolle and a few others at middle weight check you facts homie.

Paul should go to 154lbs and clean up there. Martinez and Spinks would be easy belts for Paul to get.
154lbs equal crap with out Kirkland the only fight I wanted to see at 154lbs was kirkland vs P Williams..the rest of the division is a bunch of over weight 140-147lbs fighters who couldn't beat anyone at that weight so they moved up to 154....He is better off at 160 to 168 better fights there for him

Also the urban myth of pwill wanting to fight anybody from 147 to 168 officially died there.
Well Hopkins throw himself in the mix at 170lbs. He is 44 years old and would be the biggest name Williams ever fought in my mind. I do not think Hopkins is saying he doesn't want ot fight he is saying I will fight but at 170. You meaning Paul said you will fight anyone from 147-168 why not fight a legend at 170? Either way there are no titles involved right? It is a prize fight for $$$ and legacy so either you want the fight at 170 or you go fight another Andy Kolle....Lefty

I have seen Paul in person several times... In-between fight training... I would say he is pretty close to that weight... Maybe more towards 170.

The Punisher will probably end up fighting B-Hop anyway,at whatever weight B-Hop wants!!After all B-Hop is a bigger star than him,or Pavlik!!I wouldn't be surprised to see Punisher come in under 165!!I know people talk **** about Paul at 168-175,but how many fighters in those weight classes can fight at 147??U don't have to like him,but common sense go's a long way,he can make 147,which means he shouldn't be fighting at 168 or 175,but if he has to travel that high,he probably will!!How many other fighters would do that for their sport??

You make a good point of how Hopkins holds no title. But even so, he is the one with the name recognition between these two. Not Paul Williams. I don't have a problem with Williams not wanting to fight Hopkins at 170. But why doesn't he just say that he doesn't want the fight period? Carl Froch did the right thing by saying that Hopkins is a hard fighter to look good against, and he is in the 168 tourney. Williams has other options and if he beats Hopkins below 170 he isn't going to get credit for it, and rightfully so.
