Paul has fought most of his career at Middleweight. I know 170 may be unchartered waters for him. But do you honestly think Bernard Hopkins wants to drop all the way down to 165 to fight Williams when he hasn't had a fight below 170 since his second fight with Taylor?

I don't like this counter offer by Paul Williams. Just say you don't want the fight period if you're not willing to fight Hopkins at 170. Bernard is going on 45 years old. Beat him at his best so you'll get credit for it. Hell, I'm getting ready to do something I don't want to do now. And that's give Pavlik a little bit of credit for fighting B-Hop at 170. I hate it when one fighter tries to tip the playing field so much in their advantage. This is the reason that Pacquiao gets bashed. And Williams is going to follow suit? I thought he was better than that.

So it's ok for Paul to move up and beat Hopkins where he's best at but the same doesn't apply for Paul? 165lbs is fine and for Bernard to say he'd fill in should mean that he's willing to come down to 160lbs or not volunteer. Paul should go to 154lbs and clean up there. Martinez and Spinks would be easy belts for Paul to get.
