    If you were to adopt a boxing style which of the two would be your main style? Which style is better and why?

    Well that's tough, you have to be really good in either. Sylish slugger is my pick. When push comes to shove and you have to let it all hang out, at least you can make a stand. Puncher's chance. Once your beating a counter puncher, there's not much else the latter can do.

      Counter puncher.

      I have always molded myself after guys like James Toney and Floyd Mayweather..now of course I have nowhere near the talent, but I fight in that style with the shoulder roll or try to fight in that style is more like it.

        This is a tough question that would probably depend on what you prefer. I like guys like Duran and Trinidad who are more than sluggers but great pressure fighters. On your toes boxers and counter punchers get my respect too if the fight more than they move. A good boxer to me is someone who makes slight movements and punches at angles rather than run circles around the ring all night. They don't have to stay in the pocket all the time but punch and move to the side and release another punch. Not just jab move, move, move and jab again. I like seeing a fighter cut the ring off on a guy that's running though. Something about those pressure fighters make me like them more. Just seeing them coming forward and throwing their always underrated jabs, attacking to the body and breaking their opponents down is what I like seeing most of the time. I would go with a good pressure fighter.

            DLH is the best in boxing right now at selling PPV's and he aint a slugger

            Ray Leonard wasn't a slugger either

            charisma sells PPV's no matter what style you fight in

              DlH, Ray Leonard. That's 2. And neither are counterpunchers.

              Tyson, Trinidad, Duran, Hagler, Hearns, Pacquiao, Morales, MAB, Gatti...I can go on forever.

              Don't even try to tell me that counterpunchers will outsell sluggers in a paperview. Cuz there goes your future in marketing and sales.

              I agree that charisma also sells , but for the average boxing viewer, sluggers take the cake. B-hop has plenty of charisma, but just how much people are in-love with his style?

                do you watch boxing?

                there good boxers caue they sure aren't sluggers

                Hearns= Boxer/Puncher
                Trinidad= Boxer/Puncher
                Morales= Boxer/Puncher
                MAB= slugger early/boxer late
                Morales=Boxer/puncher
                Hagler= Counter puncher
                Pac=Slugger
                Gatti=Slugger

                last I checked how manny PPV has Gatti headlined? what about Pac?

                There is a big difference between a boxer/puncher and a slugger. Watch guys like Morales, Tito, Hearns and Hagler box. They could box with the best of them. They all work/worked behind the jab and moved in circles and broke guys down.

                a slugger is a guy that is contanlty moving forward.

                Like I said.It doesn't matter what style you fight in. Charisma and personality is what sells PPV's

                  Out of all the fighters of today only Delahoya and Trinidad are going to put up the big numbers. Out of those two its Delahoya who brings in more PPV buys. It's the average viewer who helps make Oscar's fights sell so many PPV's. Morales and Barrera PPV only did about 300,000 buys. Pacquiao has never been a headliner on a PPV. Gatti has never been a headliner on a PPV. Both of those fighters wouldn't bring many buys. A fighter has to have something other than his skills to really sell a PPV. Trinidad has a very large fanbase that's why he sells PPV. Everyone who pays attention to sports know who Oscar is and will buy his fights. Tyson is Tyson really needs no explaination.
