Greatest 3 heavyweight jabs from 1950-2005?

    1. Old George Foreman (while it lacked true speed like ali's, george could KO you with a single jab, I'd prefer this type of jab over a speedy weak jab)

    2. Muhammad Ali
    3. Larry Holmes

IMO, Liston and Holmes are cemented in the 1 and 2 slots. In which order, i'm not sure. But those two possessed the best jabs i've ever seen. Liston's was pretty much equivalent to most fighter's right cross. While his was heavier, Holmes' was a piston: quick, stiff, and very disruptive to opponents. In a word, perfect.

George's jab was pretty powerfull but i still feel that Ali's jab should be rated no. 1 . The sting in Ali's jab would break his opponents over the course of the fight, his jab was his prime weapon the set up his victories.

I have to admit, I like George more than Holmes or Ali, and my opinion is biased a bit. Ali then Holmes is probably the proper form, especially if you are grading on jab snap and speed,(the whole point of the jab.)

george turned his jab into a full fledged straight power shot and learned to walk in with it like it's a straight right hand almost, and I admire that the most, is why I picked him as #1
