  • Haye vs Valuev Bout, No Decision Yet By The WBA

The WBA have still not made a ruling on Nikolai Valuev´s next defence which could be against David Haye or vs mandatory challenger John Ruiz. There are now negotiations going on for Ruiz to step aside and fight on the undercard to Valuev vs Haye on November 7. [details]

This seems to point towards a sanctioned Haye vs Valuev fight with the winner facing Ruiz and I think Ruiz could well be persuaded to entertain this plan.

    Which is pretty depressing.

If Ruiz is smart he would wait and hope for Haye to win that way he will get a lot more money facing Haye for the title in London, which is what will likley happen if Haye wins imo.

Haye will ultimately duck Valuev, and this is why:

As much as I don't like watching him fight I don't think Ruiz would have much trouble with David Haye.

Ruiz should step aside he can make a lot of money knocking out Haye in London.

Ruiz would have a better chance against Haye than Valuev. He knows how to work angles and tie up. His grappling would have an effect on Hayes's stamina, the Gayemaker would likely gas in the later rounds and get stopped.

That being said, Ruiz has been inactive for a year and he's getting old, so he may be close to shot by now.

Just at the thought that someone could possibly believe in Ruiz stopping Haye, that's hilarious.

                  Give it a rest.

I hope Haye does fight Ruiz because he is the only dude I'd trust in finally sending the beyond-dull man into retirement.

Haye doesn't deserve to fight for a belt after ducking both Klitschko's.
