He is, but he doesn't have to face him just yet. He just beat Cook in England, let him celebrate his first defense in Puerto Rico. Then Mitchell can get dumped as well.

I wouldnt exactly brag over that performance. Nicky Cook is bollox but he was putting the beats on Martinez before he got clipped. Mitchell is a much more accomplished fighter.

Wasn't bragging really. But I saw that fight again the other day and Cook had a few good rounds before Martinez recomposed himself and then it was all Martinez the rest of the (short) way. Martinez is not much of a technical fighter right now. He is more of a brawler with a huge heart and suspect chin. I wouldnt say that he is one of the top 130 right now by any means but I look forward to what his new trainer is teaching him and to a future fight with Mitchell.

What Martinez should brag about was going all the way to England and beating the champion in hostile territory in front of the largest crowd he has ever fought before - by far! Props to Rocky for that.

Should be an easy night for Martinez because Rodriguez isn't much. The one time he fought outside of Argentina he lost via near shutout in Oz
