Yeah i agree with,i expected them to give him more sound advice as in,STOP FIGHTING A ****** FIGHT, but in ther defense this was prob the first time theyve been in that kind of situation,with such a huge crowd.

i would have said the exact opposite. "forget those people, fight smart." the corner should have known that all Cotto had to do was slow the fight down and he'd have broken him down eventually without having to open himself up. Corley is a talented enough boxer to be able to hold his own with a charging bull.

I thought that was something the HBO neglected to mention. I think the reason he fought the way he did had more to do with the crowd than with his weight advantage. I mean he's had that kind of weight advantage in each of his fights and he's fought much smarter. He let the PR crowd change his fighting style.

I don't know what you all are talking about they told him to keep his head straight and gave some instructions. Ya'll just focusing on that one thing his corner said and who knows Cotto knowing that may make him fight better.

This has not been mentioned for some reason.

I was watching the fight again and noticed that the referee seriously rode the mother****ing short bus to grade school, after Corely gets hit he's all grabbing his arm when he's in the corner, wth was that? watch the fight again and check it out, and after he grabbed his arm, 10sec after the lowblow and I'm sure he was in sheer pain from Cotto (he does have awesome power, but what good is a tank if it's made out of wood) the ref grabs his arm and walks him around the ring, in a circle, while the guy is trying to recover. It almost looked like beauty pagent, where a person walks up to the stage, in a circle, and goes back to the corner.

No offense to Puerto Ricans, I got all the respect in the world for Benitez(true defensive genius) and Trinidad, but that really made Puerto Rican Boxing look like ****.
