    Hey Guys (Read)....................

    Hey People. Thanks for reading

Here's my situation in Life. Am 17 and a half years of age, 18 next April. I have no quafications, and dropped out of school at 15,.

Ever since I was a kid I have loved boxing, and have trained and sparred, but never fought. I know my stance and all that, and have sparred with some decent fighters, and held my own.

You probaly thnk why didnt I start boxing as a kid, the reason is i have Amblyopia in my left eye, which is really bad blurred vision in left eye and I can't past a boxing medical EYE test. It's eats me up that I have been denied my chance at lacing the gloves on, but my family tell me everything happens for a reason. And there are alot worst off people in the world than myself. which is true.

My family are telling me you should get a Job now and forget about the sport i love. But they are making cures for my disorder for my blurred vision and am just waiting for it to come out.

But I just can't give up on my dream to become a World Champion and become a boxing legend. I feel like this is character building and when I do box and will give a 110%, I have also never touched alcohol or drugs NEVER. So my body is pretty clean.

I sit in my house everyday, watching boxing tapes and reading boxing books. I think if i ever box, how i am going to move to new york and learn my trade sparring instead of amature.

I know it's going to be a long hard journey, but life in itself is a challege, and I really feel if I can over this problem in my eye and go on to achieve my dream to become world champion.

There have been some great stories in boxing, etc Vinny Pazenzia overcoming a broken back to become world champion, harry greb fighting with one eye, and lots more. And one day i shall be the next great succsess story, because i want it and need it.

You are also probaly thinking i may have left it to late, but nate campbell didnt start boxing amature until 24, **** tiger started voxing at 19 and dwight muhhamad qawi never started untill 25. Age is only a number!

I hope the lord is looking down on me.

I would just like your thoughts and views on my situation.

    Thanks

Sounds good... but the problem is, sometimes even if you have eye surgery you can't Box... so I would do some research and try to learn a bit of background as it is. You obviously love the sport like us all so I give you my respect and wish you the best... hopefully you can Box cause it seems you have the determination and love for the sport to want to do so.

Oh and we can relate in one way, I started Boxing in January at the age of 17... and that is what I have told myself, those fighters started at a late age and become very good, so it isn't impossible.

Dont do it until you have both eyes, if they ever find the cure. Your eyes are the most important tool you have as a fighter, besides your mind obviously.

Dreaming of becoming a world champ is one thing, fighting with one eye is another.

Let me tell you that the pro ring is a brutal and unforgiving place. They dont care if you have one good eye, they will just try to pound your one good eye shut and then what?

            Get back to school....................Rockin'

I would say that health comes first and you have to really take care of that.

Second education is a must, maybe you do not like careers in sales marketing, medicine and so on. But from what I read you should consider finishing high school, and education on nutrition or something like that, so it can help you have a higher knowledge and maybe persue a career as a physical trainer or something else that would help you stick around in the sport you love, and actually make a living of.

I am not saying you should quit your dream.. hell no we all need aspirations and nothing is impossible. Remember just because a door closes that does not mean it is the end of the road.

                    Hope this helps my friend
