Now that Universum has the partnership with Goden Boy, he'll likely soon fight in the US.

There's a lot of very good young middleweights, such as Korobov, Jacobs and Pirog.
Matt Korobov is proabbly still a while off. Really only Jacobs has made steps to actually stepping up in competition. He's making the right steps.

Golvokin hasn't fought anyone with a pulse. Also tunney, you haven't had that good of a track record with European prospects recently haha. Dimitrienko and Alexeev have both lost.

Have you ever seen Dimitry Pirog fight? Others such as Zbik are not impressive, but Dmitry is an excellent prospect.
Do I ignore european middleweights? Do I mention Arthur Abraham? Do I mention Felix Sturm? Do I mention Sebistian Zbik? Hmmmm I wonder tunney.

I've never seen Pirog, but I noticed he has a win over Kofi Juntah. Still, the division is absolutely weak right now It might be worse then heavyweight and maybe 130.

Golovkin is quite good, but is he the saviour of middleweight boxing? I doubt it. There are some decent rising prospects in the division though, with Korobov, Jacobs and the already mentioned Golovkin. There can be some good fights in the division in a couple of years.

Pirog is OK too, but I think he needs to work on his defense a bit more, pretty much shutting out Jantuah was impressive though.

Lucian Bute and Andre Dirrell don't have pulses?

I've never posted that Dimitrenko was going to be a top heavyweight. I've always has doubts about him. I posted this BEFORE the Chambers fight:

"Dimitrenko is ever bigger even than Wladimir, but he's no Klitschko.

        - he doesn't have anything near Wlad's power
        - he doesn't deal well with body punches, while body punches never seem to bother Wlad, just head shots
        - he doesn't have Wlad's excellent technical skills"

        Here's the thread:

Just because someone is a European prospect , doesn't mean I'm predicting they're going to become a big success. For example, Zbik doesn't impress me and won't get too far. On the other hand, Golovkin looks like the real deal.

            That's my boy.

Good article, bro.. It's amazing how in 07, the MW division was looked at as the Golden division in boxing.

Pavlik, Taylor, Miranda, Abraham.. It was the bomb. But DAMN, things got cleared up in a hurry. Except for the Abraham factor.

Amateurs really don't matter in the pros. He hasn't done anything of note in the pros, so let me know when he does.

Yeah. Things would probably have been better if Pavlik hadn't got demolished by Hopkins either. 05-07 seemed like a great time and future and the middleweight division. Now its pretty much dead.
