Wow, i can see John is underrated around here from the looks of the responses in this thread.
John-Marquez was a close fight, not a robbery. But i score it for Marquez it's just not the robbery that people make it seem to be.
Juarez is a tough fighter against anybody, he lost to Barrera by a close SD and lost by UD the second time, Marquez beat him by UD, Humberto Soto beat Juarez by decision as well. Juarez has wins over Barrios, Raheem, and a bull**** Draw against John that John closely but clearly won.
So the "John struggled with Juarez" comments seem amusing because John clearly beat Juarez both times by decision.
As for John being better than Pacquiao?
The hype that is surrounding Manny Pacquiao right now, has some his fans saying he can beat a prime Pernell Whitaker and is higher than Pernell All-Time, and actually defending that statement.

I think their styles are very different but both Pacquiao and John had characteristics to give Marquez trouble. Pacquiao is relentless, stronger, and faster than Marquez, plus his southpaw guard and high volume of punches is all wrong for a counterpuncher, which is what Marquez is. Marquez was able to do well against Pacquiao once he used timing and the fight was fought at a slower pace. If it was all rapid fire, Pacquiao always had the upper hand.
Chris John has very good skills, he is more of a classic boxer compared to Pacquiao. I don't know much about the boxing methods in Indonesia, but John definitely shows skills not typical of Asian fighters. I love South Korean boxers because they are kamikaze warriors, but rarely do they show P4P skills. Chris John has that and a boxer like that faces a guy like Marquez and it becomes a chess match between smart, technical fighters. He also has what it takes to give Marquez problems but in a totally different way than Pacquiao. So, one fight is a war, the other a technical match but both are tough matches.
Head to head, Pacquiao beats Chris John decisively though.
