ricky hatton isnt a ppv star. he hasnt been tested yet. pitch him in with some one that does not have a big name outside of boxing, make the fight a ppv, and see how it does, then we will talk. the 2 ppv fights he was in were full of hype, just like him, and he had a major name at the other end.

          1) To have a moving story ( Fernando Vargas)
          2) To win a medal at the olympics( De La Hoya)
          3) Make entertaining fights( Miguel Cotto)
          4) Be a classy soft spoken fighter( Cotto, Pacquiao) or an arrogant hated fighter( Mayweather). To have a character( the good or the bad).
          5) To have big rivalries( Morales vs Barrera)
          6) To have a big heart( Arturo Gatti)
          7) To dodge nobody( James Toney)

Those are the seven keys to be a PPV star.

Hatton brought in the numbers with Mayweather and other fights, it's his own fault if he fell short at them times and has become irrelevant that people aren't interested anymore.

It's just an example he's prob the weaker of Superstars but there aren't many I could think of as of now.

You pretty much hit it on the nose.

Thats pretty much what you need to be a PPV star. ODLH is the GQ looks, Tyson was the KO percentage, Hatton and Pacman is the only thing decent to come out of it.

Hype plays a big role, i remembered that i was pumped for the Hatton fight. Before thefight i had Pacquiao winning but ithought Hatton would give him a hard time.
