Agreed, if you don't talk about Pacquiao/Floyd/Cotto/Marquez in either a positive or negative light, the # of replies drops by 50%.

Take for example my thread on Floyd which is partial dislike/partial bait on my part and it's still getting hits. Controversy is the only way some of the so called fans on these forums operate and I just proved it. So to future posters that want to ask or disuss boxing that is impartial think again you're more likely to get responses if you say "Floyd is a *****" or "Manny is on roids" rather than "Did Liston have a better jab than Holmes?"

      Nuff said.
thread starter is correct as evidenced by the modest # of replies to this insightful thread!

not that long ago matter of fact i made a thread asking why noone wants to talk about anything other than cotto and pacquiao..i mean seriously its aggrivating..makes me question how many actual hardcore fans are on here..cause it seems like there is like 80 percent casual fans and 20 percent hardcore fans. and the casual ones just want to talk about the most "pop culture" related subjects

Absolutely it just goes to show the controversy driven attitude of not just boxing fans but all sport fans. If a guy scores a great touchdown he gets a highlight clip on espn but if a guy gets arrested for punching a fan they dedicate a whole show to him.

            Or Calzaghe or Klitschko.

Sometimes I used to get a lot of replies trolling and making fun of Vitali.

It's just human nature I guess. Controversial and thread bait topics will grab attention. I don't post alt but I do read a lot of threads. The thread with most replies and the the controversial topics are always attractive.

              The stinkier the better.
