2 kinds of thread on NSB

If someone makes a thread that actually engages in a civil discussion about boxing the thread itself will probably get a low amount of views and an even lower amount of replies. However, if a thread is made to entice the nuthugging qualities of fans that thread will be the hottest topic on the forum. Take for example my thread on Floyd which is partial dislike/partial bait on my part and it's still getting hits. Controversy is the only way some of the so called fans on these forums operate and I just proved it. So to future posters that want to ask or disuss boxing that is impartial think again you're more likely to get responses if you say "Floyd is a *****" or "Manny is on roids" rather than "Did Liston have a better jab than Holmes?"

    Nuff said.

This is most likely the best thread you have ever done in your NSB life. Because you're absolutely right and I have said this same thing before.

That's exactly how it is on here.

It was only until my Duran bait thread that i got some hits and fame on here, in a negative way but it still ultimately worked.

Before that, i would try making smart discussions and just got a couple of posts. Every good thread on NSB only lasts about 2 pages. But the "Hot" one's(AKA dissing another fighter) get about 10 pages+

You must have read my mind. You're spot on. I have noticed this for some time. You see people trying to make intelligent debates and get zero interest. And then you log on and see some chump say I"'m in charge of the Mayweather Mafia". Beem me the **** up.

well not many people have seen liston and holmes fight because that was before their time... but basically you're right about the 2 threads thing.

You sir, have cracked the code on thread popularity.

Controversy, even if it ain't true, is the key.
