    Remember when Jermain Taylor was getting the same flack for fighting the same level of competition? Arum would vehemently state that Pavlik wouldn't do that, describing him as a tough as nails throw back, blue collar fighter that would take on all comers? Yeah...until his deficiencies start to show up and Arum realizes he will have to stretch this reign out a little longer before throwing his man to the wolves.

        lol, deficiencies like losing to one of the p4p best fighters in the world while moving up in weight? what about PW's defiencies in losing to Quintana while moving DOWN IN WEIGHT? lmao....

          Except he avenged that loss by KO, he didn't fight Gary Lockett, or a guy named Rubio. If you present a counterpoint, make sure it's a valid one.

            Well, Cotto fought a watered down version of Winky Wright regardless of age and barely squeaked by him. I think even that version of Winky Wright that Williams fought would beat Cotto. And I'm saying that as someone who views Cotto as a more exciting fighter than Winky as far as entertainment value goes.
