I think a lot of people on this forum underestimate the casual fans knowledge of the sport as far as recognizing fighters.

I've had plenty of people who watch fights here and there who've all told me they know:

Bernard Hopkins
Miguel Cotto
Manny Pacquiao
Wladimir Klitschko
Floyd Mayweather
Roy Jones Jr
Shane Mosley

Yea. A lot of the time they refer to them as "The Big Russian Guys", but they've said their last names.
