  • Fighters Whom You Worry Will Suffer Brain Damage

Technically you could just say every fighter, but you know what I mean. Fighters whom you watch take so much punishment and just think "damn, I hope this guy doesn't fight too much longer" or you just get concerned by listening to them talk.

    Lamon Brewster
    James Toney
    Jesse Feliciano
    Jeff Lacy
    Erik Morales
    Jose Luis Castillo
    Evander Holyfield
    Israel Vazquez

Miguel Cotto has been taking a lot of damage ever since his fight with Zab Judah where Judah really did damage to Cotto.

Speaking of Judah, he may also suffer brain damage if he fights for too long.

Jermain Taylor has already taken a lot flush shots from different fighters, i wonder how much more can his brain take. He's one of my top 5 faves too.

I agree on Jeff Lacy and Israel Vazquez. Jeff Lacy took too much in the head from Calzaghe and Jones. Taylor seemed like he went easy on Lacy.

Ricky Hatton, another fave of mine, needs to retire soon because he has taken some real hard punches from Tszyu, Collazo, Mayweather, Lazcano, and now Pacquiao.

They all seem normal now, but over the years those punches will start accumulating the damage on your brain. It's like when you're drinking a good sweet liquor and you just keep siping and sipping and it's so good that you don't notice that it got you drunk until you get up from your chair and start walking all groggy.

Jaidon Codrington(if he is still fighting, not sure about that). Seems like he takes a ton of punishment even when he wins. And the way he reacts to punches in general gives you the sense that he is really being damaged every time he enters the ring.

And there was of course his fight with Green, which ends in like 20 seconds with a downright scary knockout.

Froch if he continues to get hit as much as Taylor hit him. And I like Froch so I dont wish it on him or anyone. But he gets hit alot. A rock for a chin can be the worst thing for a fighter in the long run. Margarito as well.

I would say Tex Cobb but he turned out alright. Went back to school, got a degree and starred in a couple of films.

David Diaz. The fight he had with Pacquiao was like a stepping stone towards Parkisons disease.
