McClellan did have a good point, though. His dog, "Deuce" would have tore the other dog into pieces regardless, but why risk the chance of getting a good fighting dog injured during training. Just like professional sports. It sucks to get injured during conditioning or practice. So I think McClellan did the right thing, no sense in getting his dog hurt during training..or as he referenced it, "sparring"..

It is not for training the dog...like sparring, it is for getting the thing into a more agressive mode, more blood thirsty, that is why it is called something like blooding.

If you want to comapre it to professional sport it would be more like sparring with opponents tied down to a pole, unable to defend themselfs, and hit them until they are death, and enjoy yourself all the way.

So indeed it must be karma!
