Was anybody REALLY impressed by Jones Jr.?

I mean he dominated Lacy but he looked ugly doing it...He kept going straight back and if it was Joe Calzaghe he would've got whooped even easier this time... don't let the Square Ring announcers fool you. I haven't been on the boards so I don't know, but what I do know is that Roy should RETIRE NOW!!!

The beating he gave Lacy was expected yes but it was a good show.

      I was entertained.

if anyone here thinks lacy FORCED roy to be on the ropes then they ARE delussional... in no way shape or form did Lacy make Roy do anything he didnt want to do... that was all by choice... and why not.. hey u want the fight on the ropes... then ill beat you here... you wanna box me in the middle... ill beat you here too

remember people "roy is shot too pieces" and is 41.. he was knocked out twice 5 years ago... and hes garbage.

He put on a great show at age 40. His hands are still fast and he obviously still loves the sport. We should all be happy about that and to me it was impressive, even if it was leff "LOL" lacy.

Now when people say Roy Is Back or whatever, I wouldn't agree and I think a lot of has to do with the fact of how crap lacy is at this point, but still it's nice to see Roy doing his thing again and looking good.

That's true that's roy's style now. Think Hanshaw, roy was against the ropes a lot, that's just his style now because he doesn't have the same reflexes and leg movement he had when he was younger, so he does that cover up winky-like defense which works for him most of the time (obviously against guys like calzaghe who throw a million punches its not always going to work but for most opponents it's fine).

IMO he is getting better on the ropes... hes getting some good rounds in, some good experience in... rolling blocking evading slipping punches a lot better, and learning to seperate just enough to get his flash shots in.. which when they land they are clean, and they are clear... and the judges notice them

My only problem with Jones is he should have went all out an KOd Lacy way sooner. Jones went from entertaining and playing around then after a point it was getting sadistic and was hard watching the fight.
