Mayweather Sr. picks Pac over Cotto

DT – How about Miguel Cotto, on your list?

FM –Sure, but not after the Pacquiao fight. He will lose that fight because he took a beating from Margarito and Clottley. In my book Clottey beat Cotto and if I had been in Clottey’s corner he would have knocked out Cotto. Look for Pacquiao to open up that bad cut he got from Clottey. Cotto just moves straight ahead and that’s the only type fighter that Pacquiao will fight. He can’t fight someone with boxing skills. Morales showed you how to beat him in their first fight; the right hand did the trick.

Mayweather Sr. apparently changed his mind because I remember not too long ago he picked Cotto.

When are people going to realize that Cotto is not going to fight Pacquiao the same way he fought Margarito or Clottey. Both of these fighters were BIG, TRUE welterweights. Cotto is going to fight Pacquiao the way he fights fast boxers like Mosley, Judah, Malinaggi, in a total different style. Cotto does WAYYYYYYY better when fighting speedy fighters than fighters like Clottey or margarito, etc. Are people that blind when they see the difference?

My P4P list wouldn’t have ten fighters on it because there ain’t ten good fighters out there
      That's a pretty good quote.

And i have to disagree with Mayweather saing that Cotto only comes forward, he is actually a very good boxer, with very good movement. For example the Margo fight, too bad he ran out of gas. And yes, Manny will stopp Cotto.

Name me one boxer’s son that did better than his father. Only my boy and that’s because I didn’t spoil him when he was little.
        Hmm... RJJ !?

It sounds like Sr. is shopping around for a paycheck.
