    Kessler-Perdomo Undercard: Braekhus Faces Morelli

Cecilia Braekhus is looking forward to her first professional fight in Denmark as she prepares for her September 12 clash with Lucia Morelli. The First Lady, unbeaten in 12 bouts (2 KOs), is thrilled to be a part of Team Sauerland´s fight night in Herning. “I cannot box in Norway, so this is probably about as close as I will get to home,” she said with her trademark smile. “I am really excited to fight in Herning. I have a lot of friends in Denmark and I really want to put on a good show.” [details]

I`ll be rooting for Cecilia! The fight with Skovgaard is still in the memory

If there are some perverts who watch women`s boxing, how about betting 5k?

    My pick is Cecilia!

The card is practically sold-out. That's only because of Mikkel Kessler. The undercard so far sucks to put it straight. Kessler himself faces a mandatory joke which in reality serves as nothing but a tune-up.

Let's hope Perdomo provides Kessler with a decent work-out for a few rounds so Kessler can shed the rust in order to be peaking when he faces Ward in November.

        Well gotta give Kessler credit.

He's the only guy that will bring Showtime to Denmark since Tyson.

Im giving Perdomo the nod. The kid is talented, a southpaw, with fast hands.

At least he's better than the weltercan Ward is facing.

I certainly do not hope that Kessler takes Perdomo as joke. Because he is not. If Kessler fails to take this seriously, he will end up on his arse.

The undercard has not been announced yet, apart from the two female fights. Right now, Team Sauerland is learning the hard way about politics in Danish boxing, a small country where too few people in boxing have had too much power for many years. They are not going to let that power go, no matter the costs for the boxers.

What do you mean with that?

There is several rumours regarding fighters who might fight on the card. You sound as if you know something? So far the undercard is useless (no offense to fans of female boxing).

And regarding Kessler's preparations: Well it's clear that he's pressed for time. Some footage of him sparring EBU champion Karo Murat has been made available. Judge yourself:

Yeah, I hope he gets in something like 6-8 rounds (at a pace he dictates, obviously). It would suck if he got an early KO....
