Mike Tyson and Roy jones Legacy

are ruined by the fact they have multipe losses to unremarkable fighters....

in the future people will not rate them because they have some terrible losses......

There legacy is in their own hands.........they should both have retired when they started losing but they decided to give their legacies away...

They will be remembered as bums

Tyson will always be remembered as a ' Was a good boxer, but good have been so so much better '.

While Roy has gone to the top, stayed there for a while and is still continuing his legacy by fighting at 40.

Tyson lost to Douglas because he didn't train nor did he care. RJJ has never been in that situation, he's always come into a fight 110%.

they have both been in situations where they have been schooled....

in europe RJJ is most famous for getting smashed by calzaghe..........

Tyson beat a few bums then got smashed by like 6 guys........all bums...

they have no legacy to speak of.....they SOLD OUT

No way will they be remembered as bums.

Most fighters have some bad losses on their record at the end of their career, and they are not considered as bums.

i know you're trolling but this is not even a little bit true. for starters do you think anyone would even care that calzaghe beat him if it weren't for the well recognised heights he hit while he was still young and able?

the british media were fairly realistic in the run up to the jones jnr - calzaghe fight iirc and conceded jones was there for the taking

Tyson's legacy is defined by his ferocity and the controversy of his behavior. He clearly lost a step after jail. 100 years from now, fight fans will awe at Tyson. Highlights of RJJ, showboating and with his hands behind his back will still drop jaws. Calzaghe crossing the pond to beat up on past it fighters won't be worth a thing. Calzaghe is a great fighter but the best win on his resume will pend on whether or not Kessler can win the Super Six.

I understand your point of view, but i just can't agree.

Some losses cannot take the shine of a big victory against a great opponent.

A lot of guys got a very successfull comeback fights after big losses.

This right here. The things Roy Jones did in his career are far beyond anything Tyson ever did.
