You need to watch more boxing.
I said it was early, cause it was suppose to be his first loss, in a long career, and I admit I'm new to boxing, havent seen much of the old school, if any.

Billy Conn, Henry Armstrong, Alexis Arguello, Miguel Canto, Benny Leonard, and Manuel Ortiz all lost their first professional fights i believe. Argeullo lost his by knockout.

A young Oscar Delahoya had a tough time with a veteran John John Molina early in his career. Terry Norris was KO'd early in his fight career by Julian Jackson and still won a title. It happens. But the truely great fighters get better after these tough fights. We will have to see if Cotto improves or just caves in. Camacho Jr. fought veteran Jesse James Leja and was never the same. Only time will tell.

My point was that Terry Norris got better after that fight. It was an early bad fight for Terry who went on to win a title and in my opinion became a great fighter. It takes heart to get better. Cotto didn't lose but he did have a minor setback in his quest for a world title. He (Cotto) can still get better and has youth on his side so that is a plus.
