I cant believe that you guys are leaving me out of all people to defend your boy. I see some on here who have jumped ship but where are the die hard Cotto fans at and you know who I am talking about. I don't post here much but I'm a Cotto fan and still am. I dislike these bandwagon riders a lot, the ones who cry and complain when a comparison is made to their favorite fighter but are quick to jump on the "hater bandwagon" when they think the fighter is exposed. That's all that is...

I think Cotto looking bad had to do with a lot of factors though..

1. Cotto was extremely weight drained, although he always looks weight drained before a fight but this was the worse i have seen him.

2. He was fighting a south paw, and who doesn't have problems with southpaws? (most right handed fighters will)

3. Cotto may as well have a bad chin but I kind of doubt it. It was a great shot.

Good things Cotto showed

1. Heart, he showed that he had heart and wasn't going to give up...being so young in his career this is a good thing to show.

2. Will? some might argue this is the same as heart but I like the way Cotto gathered himself after the round and forced himself to fight like he usually does.
