Now that Pavlik/Williams has been postponed

Can't HBO reschedule Dawson/Johnson II earlier? November 7 is too long of a wait for both those boxers, especially Johnson who hasn't fought since Feburary.

THIS. This is what they should do.

Move Dawson Johnson II to the October 3rd date and move Pavlik Williams to the Nov. 7th date. Fantastic idea

Im not so excited for the Dawson/Johnson II... I think Dawson is going to destroy Johnson this time around... Johnson is even older now and had a long lay off, against Dawson that has been consistently active and who is in his prime

You think Dawson is going to destroy Johnson? You are really reaching because the only KOs on Dawson's record are against B-level fighters. Johnson is going to come to the ring to give Chad hell again even if he loses another decision.

You know I'm rooting for Dawson, anyways what's the news on a possible rescheduling?

It will be a decisive win for Chad, Johnson looked older and slower against Judah last time he fought on FNF.

None that I know of. But I like the suggestion you came up with and I know that I even mentioned it on one of these Pavlik-Williams postponement threads.

Johnson fought Daniel Judah not that long ago. Johnson will make it a good fight but obviously Dawson will try to fight an extremely safe fight.

Would be a good idea. I don't think it matters when it lands anymore i think Johnson's last chance of becoming a champ was in the 1st fight. Dawson knows what to do, what he did wrong and is a young fighter only getting better. Johnson didn't look so fresh in his last fight and is getting older every day.

I thought Dawson looked like **** against Tarver in both fights. You guys are going to see how Dawson will get taken back to that place he doesn't want to be against Johnson. Tarver was able to land a lot of punches on Dawson. Dawson won the fights by a wide margin, but Tarver made some of the rounds close because he was able to close the gap a little bit in the compubox category when Dawson decided to take rounds off. If he does that against Johnson it will be long night for him. And Johnson also has a better defense than Dawson does. Chad can't stop straight right hands to save his life. I'm not saying that I'm sure that Johnson will win, but he will at least come close to it.
