Hey man, give RJJ his due credit, the guy is going 41 soon and even Lyle didn't expected what he saw and give RJJ the credit deserves based on his performance that night.

Blah blah, Roy will get knocked out again by ANY top level guys at or near his own weight. He's proven he can look great against tin cans who move up to fight and were shot to begin with. I repeat, Roy will be knocked out cold the next time he fights a top level guy at or near his weight. And he wont be in the fight at all until it is stopped. He only fights back if he thinks the other guy cant hurt him (like Lacy) but he will go into a shell and look for a way out when he fighting a top level guy. Its happened over and over with Roy and beating a moving up in weight, shot to **** Lacy didnt change that. Roy is a great B level fighter at the end of his career. Thats all he can be.

Many past prime great fighters have looked great again against fighters who allow them to look great, the Green fight in November is a better gauge about where Jones is now.

THEY still believe in him! And now HE wants to fight a ****er who is heavier than him!

            God damn...

This Cat Has Got A Real Bad Jones

With all due respect, Roy Jones has always been a Barnum and Bailey showman except when he is out classed or rendered unconcious. The Lacy fight was ridiculously predictable. Jeff had one more bleak night left in him and Roy took all that remained. He humiliated the man just as Joe The C. had done to him. Payback is sweet when the risk is minimal. Roy can still put on a decent exibition when the scales are out of balance.
This is Jones last chance to cash in on a career that was often a circus act.
At 40 plus years, Danny Green will be his final reward should he once again seek the world class route afterwards.
To hear him speak of going in with either of the Russian steamrollers is an attempt to remind us that we once bought the center ring in one of his virtuoso circus performances. Any 200 pounder with the ability to slick and move could have beaten the inept Johnny Ruiz.
And the weight gain and subsequent loss cost Roy dearly. It has been mostly downhill from there.
This has been an awful pugilistic summer. At $34.99 most of us were wise to wait and invest those bucks in Manny, Miguel, Money and Marquez.
Those will be actual prizefights. For those who could not restrain themselves and were going through square circle withdrawal, their Jones could certainly not have been satisfied by such an obvious demonstration of lack of character.

he has to retire NOW! if he even thinks about goin to ufc to fight anderson silva he will be literally killed. if he goes up to heavy weight to fight any 1 up there he will be destroyed. he needs to retire now he has gone out with a good win. he was a fabulous fighter in his day but his day has long long gone.
