If Manny retires it will be proclaimed a national holiday in Mexico because their lower weight guys will be able to win ring magazine belts again.

It would be cool if Pac retired, and Pinoys finally paid attention to the Rey Migreno's and Jack Asis's (Amisa's) their warrior journeymen instead of rooting for their front runners

Nah, I don't think Pac should retire. He's a helluva fighter that we don't see around much.

But some pinoys are front runners and fanatics, and it's sad because the PI has a history of very entertaining fighters other than Pac.

And Rey Migreno basically got no press despite a shocking upset recently.

Two fights at least against Mayweather. Unless Floyd knocks him out or completely dominates him the first time.

After that, do what he wants.

IMO win or lose against Cotto, a farewell fight in the Philippines. Potential opponent? not one of the 3 below:

A fight with PBF is not likely to happen with each side thinking they deserve more, unless both start thinking more for the fans.

A third fight with JMM is meaningless since JMM is now too old and by then beaten by PBF. What kind of credit will we give if Pac wins? Nada, zilch, zero, wala. The man is 137 years old, past prime, and shot. And if JMM wins then now the match is 1-1-1, then what? A 4th match? I sure would like to see the fight but if I was in team Pac I don't see the benefit in it.

Same with SSM, too old though he'd probably whore himself for the fight.

Do Cotto, PBF, JMM, and maybe Mosley if he's still around, and then he can retire. Actually, scratch Mosley, just do the first three i mentioned, regardless if he wins or loses any of those fights. Obviously i'd rather see Manny win all three. But you all know how the old saying goes, "what goes up must come down". Nobody can stay on top forever, nobody.

As a fan of course I don't want him to quit. But he's earned the right to. His legacy is solid.

NO WAY, im not a huge pacquiao fan but the dude has such badass fights. He never lets viewers down, ever. He needs to fight cotto then take the winner of mayweather/marquez on. I hope he gives marquez a third bout, i scored both fights wins for marquez but they were so damn close. I have real respect for pac, hmm what about a fight with edwin valero? or mabey amir khan in a couple years. Tim bradley as well, theirs a few good fights i could see him bein in. I say he hangs up the gloves at 35. That would be perfect.

i would just change that a littile bit bro shadey that imho is the three best fights out there for PAC and should answer all question for doubters ...

and IMHO as a PAC fan I could see him retire and be satisfied!

unless the 3rd fight with JMM if it ever happens still ends up with a debatable decision ... lol

2 fights after Cotto at the most. He's in his prime right now. Ride it for another year get out by age 32. His legacy is solidified & if he beats Cotto doesn't have much left to prove & there isn't much out there aside from pbf/shane that would continue his momentum of big legacy fights.
