Hopkins vs Jones Jr. II at 175

So they fought all those years ago at 160. Both would go on, in their respective divisions, to become as undisputed as undisputed can possibly get. They never fought again. Two 40 year-olds in the closing stages of their careers.

Isn't it about time this match was made? I know it's fallen through over and over again, but now's as good a time as any. If Jones manages to dispatch of Green at 180-ish (awesome, a 5-division champ), wouldn't it make sense to come back down to 175 and meet Hopkins for a final farewell each next year?

Were it to happen, who'd win?

No. Roy shouldn't fight after the Green fight. Don't let the Sheika and Lacy fights fool you.

What's crazy is the last time they fought was literally 16 years ago. That's more than a Boxing lifetime for many fighters.

I think they should end their careers fighting one another, but by that time they may need oxygen tanks in their corners.

Man, I already said in the other one that I wasn't doing so. It's not about how good or bad I think Jones is right now - it's how he'd fare in a fight against someone who's older than him and hasn't fought since October '08.

There are far worse match-ups than this.

Co-sign. However, I don't see Hopkins fighting him. I doubt he would be satisfied with beating a hoopty.

I Lol'd...but in all seriousness. I think BHop makes Roy look even older than he is now. Roy aint gonna be able to dance and play cute and **** in there with Hopkins...he also wont land all those shots he did on Lacy either. BHop UD
