Roy Jones has a sad career

in his prime , criticized for fighting bums when its not even his fault. but now when there is competition , hes just a normal fighter that cant even get to the big stages anymore because his body wont let him. therefore people just conclude that he was never anything special because its easy to look good against bums. just sad because his prime was amazing, damn shame he never got that big big fight

I don't think you can call a career that made you a millionaire sad.I just wished Roy had given Hopkins and Toney the rematches they deserved.I wish he would have fought Gerald McClellan and Julian Jackson in their prime.I wish he would have fought Terry Norris at middleweight and Nigel Benn.I wish he would have fought Tarver like a real man in their 3rd fight.I wish he would have fought Glen Johnson in a rematch to prove maybe the 1st was a fluke.I wish he would have fought Calzahge with more heart. No, he didn't have a sad career, but he never took chances in the ring. With the exception of the 1st Tarver fight, he never dug down deep to pull out a victory. The SAD thing is, we know he'll never fight Chad Dawson or either Klitchko or the winner of the super 6 tournament at super middleweight.Because of that and the fact there are some good fighters he didn't fight in his prime,he is not an all time great.A hall of famer yes, but how do you put him in the category wth Ali, Robinson, Louis,Duran, Leonard, and Hagler? Study their career then look at Roy's and you will realize...you can't.

              Sad career???

He's guaranteed HOF status, multiple world titles in several weight classes, was heralded as P4P best in the world.

Yea he lost a few fights, but some of the best have lost down the line.

A lot of people will disagree with u because he's great already, but in fact he's a little bit of an underachiever, with his talent he could've been a lot greater.
