Looking at the rankings it doesn't look like he will have the speed or skills to keep up with the light heavyweights and crusierweight is stacked.

If he moves up he's not going to be the biggest strongest kid on the block anymore but maybe it would even out his speed disadvantage some.

I really don't know. He went life-and-death with Epifanio Mendoza and Otis Griffin. Now if you can't impose your will on those kind of opponents I don't think there is room for you in this game, not even a minimal one.

If Lacy wants to keep fighting it will be on basic cable as a trial horse for prospects, making about 10% of what he used to.

Lacy ****ing sucks. He should fight anderson Silva to get recognition, that's the only fight he could win against someone with a name.

There is still minor money, a living, in him testing prospects and fighting other journeyman. Make no mistake, he is a journeyman now. Honestly if he goes back down to 168 (he will), there are plenty of fights he could get still that are pretty good actually that could be something like a Showtime co-feature, Shobox special main event, or FNF season finale type main event. Bika, Green, Andrade, etc. He'd also be a perfect opponent at this point for Ward and Dirrell, but they are tied up in the tournament.

Just as a suggestion, a fight with Curtis Stevens stylistically looks like it'd be a fun little war. They both use pretty blind, physical aggression and are very hittable.

EDIT: For that matter, why not the other half of the chin checkers? As flawed as they are, Lacy/Codrington would be a really fun fight. Hell, I think Lacy would actually win too.
