    Who Woulda Thought...

...that years later these two would go on to be fighting each other in what is now known as the "Richest Fight" in the history of boxing. The fight broke the all time record for PPV buys and revenue generated (2.2 mil buys / $120 mil ppv revenue). The fight topped all Heavyweight PPV events and made Oscar the richest fighter in the history of the sport, surpassing PPV giants Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson. As a result of this fight, Floyd now enjoys the distinction of being one of, if not the biggest money maker in boxing today. Who woulda thought...

I wish they would have faught alot sooner, anyway I sorta expected them to go at it. Mayweather wanted a piece of DLH since the Bruseles fight, Not to mention he put up really good numbers against Gatti, Zab and Baldomir, so it was expected.

Floyd wanted Oscar for a long time. I think he called him out after the Ndou fight.

Judging from Floyd's hairstyle, I'd say shortly after he turned pro, '97-'98 maybe...

I say Cotto Pacman is going to break that record.
