This is rediculous. When I was watching the fight I saw it coming a mile away. I said please dont stop this fight at the end of the round you idiot. What made me so mad was that just like in boxing, MMA has the thing where the guy on the outside of the ring hits the mat to let you know that there is only 10sec left in the round. What's sad is that the ref was standing right next to the guy at the time. He had to hear it. He was right there. So he hears it and he actually walks around to the other side of the fighters and still waits a few more seconds. He had to know that the round only had a second or 2 left in it, idiot. This is the biggest Women's fight in MMA history and maybe in all of Women's fighting history and this idiot does that. Chances are that Carano wasnt going to win anyways but you dont do that. Anything couldve happened and it wouldve been good just to see some of a 2nd round anyways or to hear what they wouldve said in the corner.
From the Carano perspective, that was one of the weirdest fights Ive ever seen. Ive never seen a fight where I thought a person was the ultimate warrior and a scared ***** all at the same time. Thats how it felt. Carano looked like she was scared of Cyborg's aggression & strength from the jump. She's definatly not as strong as Cyborg but if you watched the fight then you could tell that Carano was punching weaker & slower then her previous fights because she was partly scared. In reality she had to try to punch stronger & faster to have a chance. She was turning her back alot of times like Cintron was doing against Margarito. I was saying that she's scared and gave up. However, every time there was a crucial point where it looked like Cyborg would stop her, Carano would suddenly get brave and get out of it just when I was sure that she would allow herself to get submitted just to get out of the fight. All in all I think it was a good exciting fight but the ref tarnished it for me. I hate it when things like that happened
