Thank you for pointing this out, i was just about to post this. I don't know about the 90% but i remember reading that a book came out in Israel recently that investigated ***ish Khazar roots(which mean non-semetic) and it was on the Israel best sellers list, which suprised me.

Alot of East Euro ***s are desendants of Khazars not Semitic.

Original ***s came from the same stock as the Arabs, which today are known as Semitic people, named after Shem, A son of Noah of the great flood.

After the 2nd ***ish diaspora, the ***s were split into 3 groups, the Ashke****, Shepardi, and Mizrahim. The Ashke****, or "German" brach lived in the middle ages in the Rhine region, developed Yiddish, and are the more European-looking group which later migrated to Poland and Easter Europe.

The Shepardi, or "Spaniards", lived mainly in the Iberain peninsula and spread to other Latinic, Mediterranean littoral.

The Mizrahim, "Easterners" are those in the North Africa and Middle East regions.

There are some peoples who converted to *******, like the Khazars, but recent Y-chromosom and mithocondrial test shows that almost all modern ***s are decended from Middle Eastern, Semitic stock and not from Khazars which are Turkic people in the lower Volga region.

FYI, Y-chromosome is the "male gene", so if you want to trace your patrilineal decent, this chromosome is used. However, males also has one X-chromosome, so it is not feasible to use this in tracing matrilineal decent. For this purpose the mitochondrial chromosome, which we inherit from our mothers, is used in tracing the matrilineal decent of a person.

Something about poor man`s and ***s just doesnt fit.........

Maybe you should be renamed "Slippery"... The ***s, on arrival to wherever they would end up, were the poorest of the poor, however all educated and many very learned. They were squeezed into ******s all over Europe for many centuries, and were only freed when The Great Napoleon broke down the walls and freed them. After he was finally defeated, the "old regimes" took control again. This brought about Revolts all over Europe in 1848, which got rid of many of the Eoyal families, or severely restricted their control. However in Poland which was part of Russia for many years, and russia itself the ***s were ground down almost to atoms, and the 1900's brought about a huge smuggled emigration from Poland and Russia to all over the world, principally to America (The "Goldena Medina") England, France and other less restrictive areas.

But make no mistake, except for a very few "favoured COURT ***S" they were the poorest of the poor, stunted in growth from lack of food and fresh air, dying young, just too awful to describe or want to remember.

My own parents individually and in small family groups accidentally landed in Ireland, when drifting past the south coast and were towed into Cobh Harbour. They lived for 6 weeks on Barrels of salted herring, black bread and water, on a small fishing boat. They were originally told they would arrive in America and in fact for a short while they actually thought they were there.................
